TINNED GOODS, HYGIENE AND CLEANING PRODUCTS NEEDED
We are asking for donations of any spare tinned goods or hygiene and cleaning products, to help our members Medtrade set up a local food bank collection point situated at the main entrance of Corspace.
Nantwich Food Bank is part of The Trussell Trust network of 428 food banks, working to tackle food poverty and hunger in our local communities.
Last year, The Trussell Trust’s food bank network provided 2.5 million three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis, of these 980,082 went to children. Specifically 13,000 meals were given out by Nantwich Food Bank.
Over 90% of the food distributed by food banks in the Trussell Trust network is donated by the public – donations are vital to ensure they can provide those who need it balanced and nutritious food.
They are currently in need of:
- Tinned vegetables
- Tinned fruit
- Tins of meat (Stew, Chicken Curry, etc.)
- Instant coffee
- Long life milk (UHT)
- Deodorant
- Bars of soap
- Washing powder
