WHAT DO YOUR CUSTOMERS REALLY WANT?

Paying attention to the changing expectations of customers is critical to the future success of your business.

Research carried out by the Enterprise Trust and The Entrepreneurs Network found half of all businesses recognised that customers expected them to be taking steps to be more environmentally responsible.  57% agreed that employees increasingly want to work in businesses that are seen as environmentally responsible. The data also showed that 61% of businesses think the move to a greener economy will present positive opportunities for the business.

For many SME’s the move towards Net Zero runs the risk of getting pushed down the list of priorities, as resources are turned towards operational recovery, often with limited resources to work with.

Financial services firm Aviva, has partnered with business support provider Enterprise Nation and Government-backed campaign Smart Energy GB to launch Plan it With Purpose, an initiative to drive sustainability in the UK.

Plan it With Purpose is free digital diagnostic tool that aims to help SMEs work out where they need to improve their performance and delivery.  Companies receive an action plan and checklist to help them set and achieve sustainability goals, whilst providing additional support for education and development.
